Norms The set is manufactured according the following norms.
ISO 8528, IEC 34, IEC 364
EC directives Genetech’s sets are delivered in conformity with stated requirements of the
European Council Directives. The sets are clearly CE marked and delivered with EC declaration of conformity.
Testing The set is tested in test room with full load before delivery.
The following tests are done before delivery:
- Mechanical and electrical check
- Electrical function control
- Load test 0-100% and overload capability
A full test report is delivered with the set.
Construction of The single bearing generator is directly flanged to the diesel engine
the set flywheel. The common flanged unit is rubber mounted on
a rigid base frame.

Diesel engine Standard industrial 4-stroke type, direct injected, water-cooled type and

Equipped with digital instrument for measuring voltage, frequency and current.
The electronic control system consists of 7 electronic Euro boards with plug
in contacts.
The electronic boards is changeable between different types of Genetechs
generating sets independent of the kVA size on the sets.
This means that less spare boards is needed for customers with several sets in
operation. All electronic boards included in the electronic system is made for
operation in ambient temperature between –40 to +65 Celsius and can therefore
also be used in mobile applications.
Fuel tank A standard fuel day tank is included with a volume of 2000 litres.
The fuel day tank is equipped with 600 mm high legs to give static pressure
into the engine fuel suction pump. This day tank is made for automatic
filling from an external storage tank and equipped with the following.
- Fuel filling cap 2”
- Fuel gauge for instrument, start and stop of pump and alarm
- Fuel feeding connection to engine with stop valve
- Fuel return connection from engine with non return valve
- Fuel draining plug with valve and plug
